WINTER CLASSIC IN THE WORLD

The Winter Classic has already become an annual outdoor hockey tradition.
The NHL Winter Classic game has been an inherent part of family calendars for sixteen years. The first ever match took place in 2008 in Orchard Park, New York.
Cold weather, difficult visibility, difficult viewing conditions do not deter hundreds of thousands of visitors who fill huge, open stadiums around the world.
In the Czech Republic, a similar event took place in Brno in 2008, where premier league clubs played an open-air match in front of more than 20,000 spectators.
The Winter Classic is a big portion of fun that allows whole families to meet for important and popular sports entertainment.
Hockey is the Czech national sport. This phenomenon attracts millions of fans.
The Winter Hockey Games will become one of the most important events of 2024.

The Winter Hockey Games were originally supposed to be held in Špindlerův Mlýn in 2020. Covid-19 came and the event had to be postponed to 2021, when again due to covid-19 and government measures, it was de facto banned a week before it took place. The area has already been completed in the picturesque scenery at the end of the slope in the area of Svatý Petr, tickets have been sold...
In 2022, the war in Ukraine started and the conditions were not favorable for the organization of such a large event. For the fans, we have at least removed the LEGEND MATCH from the WHG program, which we prepared in the O2 arena in Prague for the anniversary of 25 YEARS FROM NAGAN. We sold out the O2 arena to the last ticket and the event was a huge success.
We have great support from many fans, hockey clubs, but also hockey legends. This year, we were able to organize two very prestigious charity events for them, which will be repeated every year. Legends on the green, when the legends of hockey, tennis, football... will be presented on the royal field in Mariánské Lázně and the Match of Legends in Litvínov, when the Legends of Litvínov, led by Robert Reichel, and the Legends, led by Patrik Eliáš, but also with David Pastrňák, Petr Čech etc. The events in the following years will travel to other hockey clubs.

We also decided to influence the history of hockey in the Czech Republic. We just want to differentiate ourselves and take the Winter Classic a little further.
The site of the exhibition center in Letňany was originally chosen for the Winter Hockey Games 2024, but thanks to the ever-expanding spectator base and the growing prestige of the event, we finally moved the entire site to an important location in Prague, to Letenská pláň.
The best combination – Advent time, one of the most important places in one of the most beautiful metropolises in the world and the most popular sport. WINTER HOCKEY GAMES, Letenská pláň, Prague.
And to make it absolutely TOP, we will offer two days for children's hockey clubs and local schools, for which we have prepared a 3-day cross-section of Czech hockey. Spectators will have the opportunity to see an international tournament of university teams. The climax will be 2 matches of the best extra-league clubs and an unrepeatable Match of the legends of Czech and world hockey in the foreground with the most famous names.
